This statement can be taken too far. God is not the Joseph Stalin of the cosmos. Jacob wrestled an angel, Jesus said "why have you abandoned me," and you too can question God.

You need to devote yourself to love at every turn, since you know that it's all the law and the prophets. It supersedes obedience because it directs you to where your cooperation with God should act.

Spiritual confusion is conquered by perfecting your love of God, others and yourself. But it's the last of these three that really needs work right now. Love of yourself. Dare to accept the person God made.

Yes, Jesus said "not my will but thine," but where does that sort of generous acceptance of God's rightness start with you? With some texts you may or may not understand, or with the reality of God's love formed in your heart?
