My statements are connected and make sense if you follow my train of thought, not saying you are stupid misinterpretation is an easy thing to happen.
First I said having sex at ANY age does not change your sexuality. Then I backed this up by the example of Cat who admits here he is a BL and has sex with an adult. I used the example of an adult first because it would be something we would most likely agree on. Then I said that having sex with an adult as a child does not change your sexual orientation. Then to back it up I said this would mean that if it did than ALL kids who had sex as an adult would grow up to be, well something other than what they were going to be before they had sex with an adult which would be even harder to prove. We know, and if you want I could spend a bit of time online looking for proof, that not all kids who had sex with adults became something else. One MAJOR logical flaw that some people with your position make, andf many people with other positions make, is that correlation is the same as causation. Scientists in studies always have to prove that two factors in a study that are related actually are cause and affect and not just there for some other reason. ie Even if ALL the BLs here said they had sex as a child with an adult (If you wanted more accurate results you should have defined these terms) it would not necessarily mean that these two factors have any cause and effect relationship. IN FACT if you really wanted to know you would then have to somehow prove if it's possible that young BLs seek out such relationship and that is why there is a large correlation. OR perhaps ALL boys seek out such relationships and those that succeed become BLs. There are any number of possibilities no matter the results. No if you had various surveys with various but similar questions all with the same pool of respondents you could maybe draw some possible conclusions from it. I'm obviously not saying these things are true but that this are merely some examples of why correlation does not mean causation. This is an interesting survey and it will be interesting to see what we get from it. And it would be cool if ya did ask more in the future that ask more questions based off your results. Maybe after awhile you would compile them all and you would at least have some interesting results for the people who post at cblf. There aren't enough regular posters to make the survey applicable to all BLs or all people but we could perhaps draw some conclusions about the posters at cblf. I would find this interesting and would be willing to work with you if you wanted. Godspell |
