"First you say "does not change your sexual orientation", and then "not all kids who had sex with adults became something else". Are you saying it NEVER happens? Or just that it only happens in some of the cases? If "not all kids", then some do, right? I'm just trying to understand."

I do attempt to word things so as not to be misinterpreted but oh well it still happens. What I should have said is that indeed NO kids that have sex will change their sexual orientation. As Blackstone already said it may have other affects on them, some positive, negative, or neutral, but it would not change their sexual orientation.

The only way I see this is possible is if something happened at an extremely young age like 3 or below when the brain is till forming. If that happened it would be nearly impossible to know. Kids that age would not be able to answer questions about orientation very well and most people don't remember that age well enough to be able to answer said questions.

"if an adult male has sex with a boy repeatedly from when he is age 6 through age 10 -- a serious abuse case -- that there will be ABSOLUTELY NO POSSIBLE affect on the boy's later sexual identity? [If he turns out gay, it would have happened anyway, no matter what -- the abuse did NOT play a role?]"

In short no the experience would not make change his sexual orientation from what it already was by six boys are already gay, straight, BL, etc. I could go on about what I think could happen but stoney phrased it real well in his response so just read there.

The causation and correlation thing, as blackstone said we are both right there. The problem with his example compared to this is there is scientific research proving it in other ways that tobacco use partly causes cancer. We can survey the people at every BL website and there would not be such a study unless there is one out there that I do not know about.

"Just wish we had some bigger samples to draw from."

Actually it depends on what you are want to get out of this survey. Sure we are not going to learn about BLs in general or what causes it. What we will learn some things we can say about the posters of cblf in general and that is something indeed. Looking at the responses given to your survey I would say more than half of the people who post on any regular basis here have responded so you could draw some kind of conclusions from it.
