The problem with your analogy is that a tax collector is not born into his corrupt profession. It is compartively easy to quit a corrupt job than it is to change your sexual orientation which you are born with. Unless you can defend your analogy, using it to back up your position falls apart.

BEING a pedophile does not offend children. BEING a pedophile and being around children does not offend them. Being sexual with children can offend them. One thing you need to understand is that not all pedophiles have sexual relations with children, in fact in all my experience I would say most do not. Many, including many here, feel that sexual relations with a child is immoral.
