Actually, I used to be a composer (not 'professional', but pretty good IMHO) and have stopped writing pretty much since losing my YF. I found it too painful because I always ended up trying to express that feeling. I don't think I can write 'about' anything else anymore, as much as instrumental music can be inpired by something definite. But I can see how healing through pain can be excercised by other artists. It seems I can heal by painful art other than my own, notably late Beethoven, but it's only very temporary. I googled TSS and really only got results for PTSD, is that the same thing? I don't think I've got it that bad, do I? |
