thanks, and small world indeed! Christian Boylover Composers, how's that for a subcategory? I'm also heavily into sonata-forms, which is why I suspect the notes don't come. I tend to think motivically (and mostly atonally) as a way of building structure, but when I sit at the piano out comes this long yearning web of endless C major variation going into deep space or something. After a couple minutes I'm spent, nothing on paper. I must be enjoyable to listen to though... I suppose I have to figure it all out... |
