This isn't the same kind of music, or quite the same situation, although it might be really close. When Eric Clapton lost his young son in a tragic accident years ago (the boy fell to his death from the window of the New York City apartment where he was living at the time...terrible accident...), Eric was just devistated, to say the least. However, after a short time, he used music as a way to help him deal with his loss. I believe his song "Tears in Heaven" was written about his son and his loss. It was one way he was able to get through it all. I don't know if that helps but I thought I would throw it in.
