As BLs we are well aware of what attracts us to boys - but what do they see in us. Some of us are 'boy magnets' - just being in the right place draws them to us. I don't think that's been my experience... Looking back down the decades to the time when I was someone's YF - though probably not in the exclusive sense we often see - I guess it was the fact that he was always happy to see me and made time for a very miserable and lonely teenager. Certainly it was partly as a result of the failure of my family to fulfil that need - so one question for us to consider is whether it's about our YF's family not doing a good job - specifically the father. Or perhaps it's about our YF looking to rebel against his family - and we legitimate that need?

Of course this finesses the question 'When is a YF a YF?'!
