I know what you're saying. I definitely felt a spiritual connection with my youth pastor as well. I still think he was one of the greater spiritual influences in my life. He had faith like a rock, and his demeanor never changed. I only ever heard him raise his voice twice, and both times were in necessity. I really think that boys are attracted to men that they want to be like. The attraction is probably non-sexual in most cases, but it is an attraction and desire nonetheless.
