For some time now, I have become aware of how we as BLs have a tendency to place children, boys in particular, on a sort of pedestal. This is reflected in many ways, including how we talk about them. I have seen a disturbing trend towards directly deifying boys through the use of expressions like "boy-god", "holy boy", or "godling".

When we find ourselves using such terms, I feel it is time to take a step back and wonder if we aren't resorting to idol worship. So, what are your thoughts? At what point does an admiration of the aesthetics and personalities of boys cross over from healthy to idolatrous?
