Hi all,

I am wondering, for those of you who have YFs (in the platonic, mentoring sense) ... How much do you share with them about yourself, and your own struggles. Would you ever share with them that you have same-sex attractions? Would you ever share about being boy attracted? And, in general terms, do you feel that young guys can be trusted to keep one's confidence? [I'm not talking about doing anything inappropriate with a boy, and expecting confidentiality. I'm talking about being able to be vulnerable and honest about personal issues.]

[The answer will likely depend very much on the boy in question, and whether or not he has shown himself to be trustworthy and have good character. In a similar way, only certain adults are worthy of our trust...]
