If it were for the purposes of coming out, I think I'd steer clear of any labels at all and just explain how I feel instead.
You're probably right about that -- at least for the initial "coming out". I'd likely go with something along the lines of, "I'm attracted to boys", but then, once the initial conversation was over, "boy attracted", "boy attraction", or "BA", could maybe be used if the issue were to come up again in conversation. [At least then the term, and my attractions, would already be be familiar to that other person...] I think "boy attracted" or "boylover" are fine terms. But they leave out the girl lovers. What about a term that is inclusive of everyone who is attracted to children? "Child attracted"? But then again, I wouldn't use that term, because I'm not attracted to girls. It would just require further clarification ("I'm child attracted ... but only to boys"), so, for me, "boy attracted" would be simpler and more to the point. Blessings, Rainboy |
