Sometimes it is so hard.

This Sunday I attended a special potluck dinner and practice for our worship team at church. It was in the evening and everyone was supposed to bring thier families and a dish to pass, etc. So I came by myself (of course) and I was delighted to see that pretty much everyone was there with families and everything. After we had eaten I was speaking with the wife of our drummer. They have a 12 year old son who was also there that evening. I admit, he is awesomely cute and I always get so tonge-tied when I'm around him that I usually just admire him from a distance. Well, I was talking to her and she kind of said just under her breath, "...just as long as you don't ever show up at our house." I'm not sure now exactly how she worked it into the conversation but she said it in a way that she both did and did not want me to hear what she was saying...if that makes sense. This isn't the first time she has said something like this to me, either. The other times I have kind of ignored it, but this is the third time and it is finally bothering me. It seems to me that she dosen't want me around her son.

The worst of it is that I just can't get angry at her because I truly like this family and I don't think she is doing it to be mean or anything. I don't know exactly why she is doing it, but I know her well enough to know it isn't to be mean. I don't know, I might be overreacting or something but it is really kind of upsetting.

Anyway, I just thought I would write about it here.
