You need to strive to fulfill the purpose for which God created you. Doing any less is unacceptable.
Yes this is true and I fully agree with it! But the wicked lazy servant was not a saved man. The Lord does not throw those that belong to him into outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth! We don't do the work (Our works are like filthy rags) the Holy Spirit does the work through us and the fruits we produce are his harvest, they belong to Him. And I do not think we will be pointing anything out to the Lord, He is the one who will point out to us, this or that and he will be the one who says well done good and faithful servant, we will not be saying look what I did for you Lord. As for me I will be saying thank you for finishing the work that YOU LORD started in me. I think I know the point you are making but it makes it sound like the works are what saved the other two men, but the works and fruits come from being saved through the shed blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Once this has truly happened we will want to please our Lord and do His will for your life. And What about the man the thief that hung next to Jesus and said I believe and our Lord said today you will enter into my kingdom. Now surly the lord didn't create him to be a thief and he did not tell him sorry but you did no work for me Your life was a waist. "If all you managed to do with your life was be saved, then your life was wasted; you are like the servant who buried the talents and was cast out by the master and called a "wicked, lazy servant". " Something just seems wrong with your original statement or maybe I am just reading to much into it. God Bless Blaze |
