One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And He said to him, “ ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ 38 “This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 “The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ 40 “On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”

I am sure this will be a minority opinion around here, but your sex life was a part of a love that was true and beneficial (not cutting against any existing love like adultery, not merely gratifying yourself like fornication, etc.) and I believe that the Lord smiles on it. I think if you could have married the boy, you would have. I always remember reading a story called "May your first love be your last" by Canadian author Gregory Clark, where he recounted meeting his wife when they were both 7 years old, falling in love with her then (and her falling in love with him), and remaining true to her through his entire life, including many decades of marriage. The marriage itself was circa 1916 and needless to say no premarital sex was involved, but boy-boy pairs are just not the same as boy-girl pairs and in particular there is no child pregnancy complication involved.

Just as the Society of Friends (Quaker) church went out on a limb in the early 1950's and said they had received a spiritual advice that long term monogamous gay partners were married in the eyes of God, I and perhaps some others here will make the same statement about you and your friend.
