I'm aware of a pair of BLs who have been together in a sexual relationship for over 10 years now. It seems to work for them. On the other hand I'm aware of a BL who married but now has a YF he's more in love with and his marriage is problematic (his wife is totally unaware of the sexual nature of his attraction to his YF).

In my own life a group of 4 14 year olds arrived in my existence some 15 years ago. Over the years all of them have been YFs to a greater or lesser extent. One has effectively disappeared from my life - married with children - but the other 3 remain very close friends; perhaps not YFs in the strict definition, but...

More recently a 23 yo passed through my life; sadly he's now living too far away for me to see much of him, but for the period we were close he was unambiguously a YF - when the time came for him to move away I cried my eyes out (in his presence).

Currently there's a 20yo and a 28yo who I wish I could see more of, but both have resisted my attempts to make anything more of the friendships which are based on shared activities.

My conclusion in all this is that one strategy is to try to let your Age of Attraction rise as you get older, till you get to the point when at least they are legal in your jurisdiction - a great improvement! A natural way of achieving this is to stick with your relationship with your YF even when he ages beyond your AoA and thereby learn the attraction of older boys / men. It seems to have worked for me.

[to remove any ambiguity, none of the above relationships of mine were sexualised]
