I would suggest looking at practical ways of overcoming depression.
First, go out for a walk for 15 minutes a day regardless of whether you feel like it or not.
Second, try to increase your intake of Vitamin D. I can recommend consumption of cod liver oil, oily fish and green vegetables.
Third, I would recommend investigating all the potential social opportunities in the area. I am not suggesting that you join anything at this stage, but be in a postion to make an informed choice in due course.
Fourth, I can recommend swimming or hydrotherapy.
You might also like to consider yoga, aromatherapy or acupuncture.
A church coffee morning might be a good idea. It is company but it doesn't demand you contributing much. You need light entertainment that doesn't require much thought.
