the problem with sin is that it is a social thing just as much as a personal one - perhaps even more. When a wealthy nation eats and drinks more than it needs whilst other nations go without, do we not share that sin?
also dont we sin not just in the things that we do, but perhaps even more in the things that we do not do? When I was teaching and had to take a strong stand in cases of violence, bullying or classroom disruption was there such a difference between the origin of the violence and my strong reaction to it? I certainly felt not. and when it comes to BLness. The sins of those who molest or harm children are carried by all of us who are attracted to children in ways that are often hard to bear. |
