As for your concerns, I can only offer what my limited knowledge on the situation can produce.

I would say that a 19 year old is an adult that should need no taking care of, other than perhaps an ear to listen.

If you approach it that way, and show from the moment that he gets there, that you expect him to be responsible for himself and expect him to relate to you as an adult not as a child, then it should go well.
