In the story of Sodom, it is just as easy to draw the conclusion that the sin of the Sodomites was as Paul spoke of it "seeking after strange flesh" because they sought to rape angels. After all, why would the whole city show up just to ream a couple of cute guys against their will unless they were something really special? And in that Romans passage is again poorly translated there. It is more along the lines of "left their natural use of womankind" which is again easily read to mean that this sin was that they went against their natural orientation towards women to have sex with men. A common generalization gives some sense here: "To thine own self be true." In Christ, ~CSL (I need to write a book... but I don't have the credentials to get it published yet. SIGH) ![]() |
