Hi all,

You may recall I have recently posted about my interest in naturism and, in particular, that I've come to believe that, as we expose ourselves more to healthy, non-sexual nudity, the desire to see sexual nudity is likely to be diminished.

Well, I took the plunge. I recently attended a nudist event ... and it was AWESOME!

I won't get into too many details, but here are a few observations:

- The environment was -- as I had read in online forums -- completely non-sexual. I didn't get the impression anyone was there to "perv" anyone else. They were simply people who enjoyed being free from clothing in a natural environment.

- I met a couple nice Christian people.

- I was completely naked for a significant part of the day and, though I was initially concerned that I might have an erection, that turned out to be a complete non issue. [As the environment was so non-sexual, one tended to not even think of others in sexual terms, so it really wasn't a problem.]

- At this particular event there were no boys in attendance -- only adults. I was disappointed about that, but not for the reason you might think. Yes, boys are attractive, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see them naked. But, it was more than that. Given that I found myself coping so well with the nudity in general (i.e. not having an erection), and that I was finding the environment to be non-sexual, I genuinely wanted to see if I'd be able to cope as well with boys in attendance. Though it might have been more difficult to retain my composure with boys around, I think I might actually have done OK. And, if that were the case, I think I would have found it to be an important step in the direction of seeing boys in less sexual terms. I think that would have been a healthy experience, but it was not to be (this time).

Well, that's that, I guess. In summary, it was a wonderful experience, and I'd easily do it again -- probably will (next year, maybe).
