If Jesus dying on the cross allows all people to have the Spirit and access to God, then I am half way to understanding the mystery of his death! Well, it is a mystery to me.

Oh Dakota, do you understand how much you've helped me? I knew there had to be something significant! Pieces in my head are starting to click together. The 'baptism by fire' I had always wondered was the Holy Spirit, and if Jesus 'magnified' the Spirit so to speak then that explains why he 'allows' the lake of fire (under the theory that it is God's Holy Spirit).

Please can you give me some scriptures where it is mentioned that Jesus will be, was or is serving the purpose you describe? In anybody's words. Even Isaiah if you have to; because if this is truly scriptural it clarifies so much to me.
