I have to disagree with your David and Jonathan comparison. First of all, I don't recall either one being significantly older than the other, do you have any evidence of this? Also, if one were older, wouldn't it have to be Jonathan, who was old enough to have given David his sword and bow during a period when David was described as being not yet of fighting age?

Secondly, throughout the story of David and Jonathan, what we are presented with is not in any way a bl/yf relationship. Neither one appears to be anything but equal to the other. There is no mentoring aspect or teacher/student component. It could have been a homosexual relationship, but a bl/yf one? That's highly unlikely.

Now, when it comes to Paul and Timothy, there is a definite age discrepancy there. But what makes you think it was a bl/yf relationship? If you are seeing a pedophile every time you see a man who mentors a boy, then aren't you falling victim to the fear driven hysteria of the modern media? Don't you need some shred of evidence before jumping to the conclusion that all mentors are bl? I do, and I'd like to see it.
