because it is possible that doing so will lock you out of doing the service that is so obviously on your heart. Do you think an employer in a youth service programme is going to cope with the idea that one of his staff is seriously attracted to the kids he's supposed to be counselling? Once you adopt the label BL / paedophile you are going to find it hard to get away from. What you CAN do is talk to the professional about being gay - just downplay the attraction to seriously younger... And check for the mandatory reporting requirements in your jurisdiction especially if you start talking about actual events.
