who decides what is harmful

I don't mean this in an agressive way... and I don't entirely dissagree with you... but

who defines what harmful is?

I'm sure there are kids who've had sexual relations with parents who don't feel violated and mollested. I've heard a testimony or two like that.

I guess what I question in your post is the idea that someone who sexes with their kid is somehow more evil than the rest of us. That just doesn't work for me.

Personally I believe that the Scripture teaches that human beings are by nature sinful... even from birth... and that we don't have much choice about it. So if there is good in me then it's good that God has graciously provided for me. Jesus said, "without me you can do nothing" (John 15) and John also said, "we love because God first loved us".... Paul said, "in my flesh nothing good lives" (Rom 7:18) so any goodness in me I give credit to God for.

I think that a parent who's experiencing sexual interest in their own child has a particularly hard battle of it... because really... who's going to stop them from engaging with their kid? That kid's primary protector is supposed to be the parent... and if the parent is tempted to be inappropriate then... what's stopping him? And further ... who can he turn to for help????

To make it out as some kind of deep evil... that doesn't help anyone. I mean... this is a boylove forum. So any boylover, feeling attracted to his own kids, and reading the passion of your post is hardly going to seek your confidence, counsel and support is he? Who wants to out themselves and be labled a monster?... even in a place like this!!!

I think we need to see this struggle the same way we see any other and offer support and help to those struggling with it. Guys who can resist this kind of temptation need a particular strength and far be it from us to offer condemnation rather than encouragement. Perhaps if that guy who sexed his kid and posted pics on the net had had someone to talk to and be open with and confess to earlier on... it never would have escalated to that level and he could have found some self-control.

Blessings
Cat.
