"Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces." Matthew 7:6
"8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. 14 Therefore He says:
Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light." Eph 5:8-14
We are a people heavily and often unjustly, peresectued in society. For this reason we chose to hide. We cannot live openly as boylovers for fear that the dogs will turn and tear us to peices, while the rest look on and cheer.
For this reason outing a fellow BL is perhaps the biggest crime in BL society.
However, living secret lives can also be a cloak for vice. Woe to us if we use our secrecy as a means to seduce and sexally take advantage of boys.
Of course most of us are not at quite that extreeme. But some amongst us struggle with porn and/or relationships where temptaion to over step the boundaries can lead us into all sorts of sinful practices. And who can we tell? Where can we go to get help or confess without fear of the dogs and the swine? And what if our brother boylover comes to us with a confession or even harder, an invitation to share in some corruption. How do we handle it? It is a difficult path on which we walk.
My encouragement brothers it for us to determine within ourselves to not let the shadows we live in be cloaks for vice. Let us hide from the dogs and the swine, but let us do so in the light of Christ. Let us live secret, but HOLY lives. Let us determine to honour God in our boylovering and have nothing of which to be ashamed.
Father, so many of us live in this world with secrets relating to our boylove. So many of us take care not to out or be outed and expose others to the prejudice of our society. But Father, please help us not to use our secrecy as a means whereby we take advantage of a child or give in to sexual temptations. Please help us to find godly men to whom we can open up and share our struggles (whether on line or face to face) that we may walk in Your love and holiness all our days. I ask this in Jesus name. Amen.
