A friend of mine posted the following to another forum:

I have just received word that J was rushed to the hospital last night and had emergency surgery today. His appendix was removed along with a large mass the size of a softball. I would appreciate your prayers. I spoke with J a few minutes ago and he says he's doing ok and is bareing the pain (with a morphine pump). Please pray for his complete and quick recovery.

I am praying for J's physical recovery, as well as for a way to open up and start a trusting, more open relationship with his girlfriend. Prayer for healing from childhood abuse which torments him.
