Dear God and Heavenly father who is full of compassion and understanding, we pray that you who can change the hearts of kings and rulers, would first minister to Chris's heart to give him the heart of a child who just knows that his father is watching over him this day.
How well I can understand and relate to my brothers struggles, and desires to please you and yet know the weakness of our flesh. May you fill him with your love and peace that passes understanding. May he keep looking to you for his substance, but Lord put it in the hearts of your people to minister to the least of the brethern. How well I know that in the eyes of the world there is no sin so hideaous in their eyes, but yet Lord you see through layers of skin deep into the hearts and thoughts and motives of people, so that everything lies bare to your eyes.
May your people be so aware that they may realize that they are no better. Help us oh Lord to reach out in true compassion to the Chris's out there who need the touch of your love. How much I have failed my dear brother, and you know that we all at times have seen ourselves as more important than ministering to you.
May we never say to you but when did we not do it to you Lord. For we know the condemnation that will come to us from your voice, when you say, 'when you have not done it to the least of my brethern'.
May we rather say 'but Lord when did we do those things' and hear you say 'when you did it to the least of the brethern'.
Oh dear Lord Jesus fill my heart with this kind of love.
