I dont want to be analytical about this and I might be way off, but isnt there a real desire in us bls to be liked by boys? To be disliked by them can be very hard indeed. I know this through teaching experience, although I think I did get used to it unwillingly in the end - through sheer necessity. (I gave up trying to be a popular teacher years ago!)
I think its also true that children are much more attracted to younger men, until perhaps we reach a sort of grandaddy age . . . . not so far away for me now. :/
