Well, my position on telling a boy you love him is this. First I'll hedge what I say by stating that it depends on the boy. If he is very reserved with feelings in general, he might feel uncomfortable hearing a sincere "I love you" But MOST boys, especially at that age, like and appreciate hearing it. My personal feelings are that I don't like the "love ya" said as a good-bye or in passing. I think it cheapens the sentiment and doesn't fully convey your feelings. I'm more the type of person that will (and has) say a sincere "I love you," or words to that effect when the situation makes it appropriate.
