On a practical level, I think you need to avoid your voice being broadcast: I remember hearing of a gay guy who got sacked after his boss heard his voice on a phone in in Hong Kong... So I wonder if they might accept an instant messenger based interview, with an actor reading your replies?

Similarly will they give you a list of questions or at least a list of the sorts of topics they are wanting to ask about? It might be worth trying to discover what background studying the reporter / producer have done in preparation; using your Cat identity to email them directly might be helpful. What is the duration of the interview - and what will they actually broadcast? Will you be one of several, or is it just going to be you?

Is it a one-off programme or part of a series. A series will give you a hint about the tone - if it's one off then you can only go from what you know about the station: is it sensationalist or does it do serious journalism?

A hint about the agenda of the programme may come from your counsellor's involvement - what are they trying to achieve?

The advice of spin doctors is to consider carefully what message you want to get across. Think hard about whether you should mention CBF, CJAT or even Boychat - especially as the government is trying to ban certain sites, and if you mention them, it might attract the bureaucrats' attention. On the other hand the existence of these sites can be a life saver to people who are struggling to cope with being BLs, so there is a case for it. So part of your consideration is who you seeking to address: others in the same situation or a wider public who needs to think about this area rationally?

You also need to think very hard about how much you say about your past and present YFs - you may give away identifying information if you are not very careful; and remember that they may be listening... A similar issue may arise over your church.

A few questions to be going on with; hope they're some help.
