Forgive me, I just had to say this is indeed a fine post and one that I find most interesting and true.
To love the good and hate the bad if not done in the right way & spirit can lead to a bigger problem than the one you are trying to deal with. I for one am trying to hate what I feel I once fell in love with, like say fornication and even adultery, violence and war, seeking and spending much time in such. How can I now tell others that such behavor, conduct & practice is to be ovoided, and that they need to seek sex only in marriage, and not be lead into war, or violence that is all around us and part of our nature to do. Fighting to save myself from these things is a personal matter, but the issues and questions keep coming up as to how best to deal with the flesh and spirit. In my view, God is not a lover of this world, but of the one to come, and that by means of His Kingdome His Son told us to pray. We thus must be a lover not of this world, but try to be no part of it. We are indeed doing as your post seems to say, Working on a process of "Working out our Salvation." That is from this sinful world. |
