No child raised in a society that was accepting of such contact has ever claimed harm. It is only those individual's opinions that matter since the opinions of people living in our society are subject to the effects of our society.

Who are the well respected professionals in the psychiatric field that claim the opposite? I'd like to hear who these people are and what they have to say and maybe I will cede the point. I find it hard to believe, however, that any modern reputable psychologist would make such a claim. My claim wasn't a trendy school of thought based on a few studies, it's a fairly well established fact and it would be interesting to see what reputable professionals are contradicting it.
