that that story is not a parable?

He does not always just state whether or not something is a parable or not. This one story would not show all that many Christians think of hell and does not presuppose to me the fact that many people who 'should' be in hell never had a chance, ever. I take this up in a farther up post in which I ask a bunch of questions that were not meant to be rhetorical.
