Youth,

I have struggled with these issues myself and been in love before..in fact, I was a roommate with someone I was in love with. I've been struggling with gay issues most of my life. But Youth, God does have a plan. There is something He has called you to do in this life. For me, I am called to the ministry and I believe that if I were to go down the active gay lifestyle road, that calling would be compromised. It could be the same for you. But Youth, ultimately it comes down to trust. I have made a decision to trust God and follow His path, and not my own desires. If that means I am to lead a celibate life, so be it.

Trusting God is not about having all the answers, sometimes it is about blind faith. In my life, I can look back and see where God has brought me through all kinds of storms and issues..and He has never failed me. That makes it easier to trust Him in this situation. As far as sex being ok earlier on in life, just because it was allowed to happen does not mean it was ok, or the best thing. I, myself had a sexual encounter when I was young that was NOT a good thing at all.

So, I hope this encourages you..keep on the Godly path, you won't regret it.
