The above alone clearly shows that this kind of sample is not only useless, but it is clearly skewed in favor of those most likely to bring up this issue in conversation, those who have something to talk about (because they had experiences).

Thanks to your thorough description of the issue, I DO totally understand what you're getting at. You're almost certainly right -- it is going to be skewed.

Thinking about how to respond, honestly, I was a little disappointed, because ... you're right, and yet I was looking forward to getting as many responses as possible, even if they were not exclusively from here, and even if they were skewed. I was going to just give up and say "CBLF only". But then Cat posted that he "so didn't agree", and it inspired me to stick up for the bold, unappologetically-unscientific nature of this study :-)

Let's do this. YES, outside results WILL be skewed. We'll take that into account. I'll keep separate totals, and next to the non-CBLF totals I'll put prominent disclaimers indicating their absolute uselessness for drawing any conclusions whatsoever. They will be for entertainment purposes only.
