I think when it comes to movies involving kids, sometimes a director will do things that maybe he wouldn't do otherwise. Perhaps it's an attempt to be cute or to possibly connect with a younger audience, I don't know. I seriously doubt that it would be about trying to get in touch with a BL audience, but you never know. I would love it if that were true, wouoldn't you? Hey, if you ever remember the name of that movie, let me know.
