I think Ricky Schroder was my first boy crush also. I didn't even know I was a boylover at the time. It wasn't just his cuteness that drew me to him, but also his personality and wholesomeness that shined thru even in his movies. Of course I loved it when I came across an interview. So any movie he was in had a distinct advantage from the start, lol. But "The Earthling" had a great plot and so many little pearls of wisdom that it quickly became a favorite of mine. One of the pearls of wisdom that has stayed with me is when Ricky wasn't admiting to himself that his parents were dead and wanted to go back for them. Holden very gruffly told Ricky that his parents were dead. That some day Ricky will die......and some day he (Holden) will die. Then he raised his voice and said "But till then you fight like hell to stay alive!!!" He was trying to give Ricky the determination he would need to survive the wilderness, but that bit of advice is good for us all. It has kept me going when it would have been much easier to give up.
My friends have told me that I get a lot of my philosophies of life from movies, and I guess that's true. People can learn from many things, including movies, as long as God remains the ultimate authority. I know what you mean when you say you watch movies with boys in them since you can't be around boys much right now. Every boylover seems to have a need inside them to have some kind of contact with boys. There is something inside of us that craves interaction with boys, and I'm not talking about sexual interaction. When we don't get it in the real world, we often look for it elsewhere. I've had YFs in the past, but haven't had one for a long time. So I found myself watching more movies with boys in them. I would also find clips of videos with boys singing and save them to my hard drive. This wasn't masturbation material, it was so I could pull up a video to watch for a few minutes when I was feeling a bit lonely. The funny thing is that I haven't pulled any of those videos up for months. I think that's because I am now getting my boy "fix" from youtube. It's soooooo much better than movies or video clips of boy singers. On youtube, you can watch real boys and watch at least a small part of their real lives. You can even watch them grow and mature. Youtube could be a great way for boylovers to safely and unoffensively interact with boys if only the perv pedos would stop using it as a jack off site. The pervs have gotten a lot of people up in arms because of some of their comments. When as adult man posts a comment on a boy's video saying how hot he is, or asks him to do a vid in his boxers or shirtless, people get understandably pissed. If the pervs must use the site for their sexual cravings, I wish they would just watch without comment so as not to ruin it for boylovers who use the site for their platonic cravings. I hope you can some day get a computer of your own so you can watch youtube. I'm sure you would enjoy it. But it does take a certain amount of discipline to stay away from videos that appeals more to our sexual nature. There's no porn, of course. But I have to admit that I can get turned on when I see a boy shirtless. It's not a major problem when I come across a video like that. But it sets my mind in a direction I (and God) would prefer it not go. Dakota |
