You know, they just don't make enough movies like this one. Son of Rambow is a beautiful movie. When I first saw the previews for this, what was it, months ago, I thought "Ok, a movie with two very cute looking boys making a movie about thier favorite action star. It'll probably be ok, lots of fluff but worth watching because of the two boys." I couldn't have been more wrong if I had tried. This movie has no fluff!

To quote a part of the summary from IMDB (The Internet Movie Database): "Son of Rambow is the name of the home movie made by two little boys with a big video camera and even bigger ambitions. Set on a long English summer in the early '80's, Son of Rambow is a comedy about friendship, faith and the tough business of growing up." The two boys in this movie, who become very good friends, decide to make a movie roughly centered on the character of Rambo. The 11 year old boys come from very different backgrounds and have very different personalities, but as the movie progresses you see that they have more in common than meets the eyes. Honestly, you will experience every emotion possable with this movie and the ending will blow you away. I know I will be watching it a few times for sure.

And please don't miss the extras on the DVD, either. You will want to watch the making of Son of Rambow which is in the extras. Believe it or not, both of the boy actors who star in this movie are making thier debute with this film. Thier names are Bill Milner and Will Poulter. Another thing that comes out in this extra film is that as the movie was being filmed, the boys became great friends in real life. There is one scene where Will comes up to Bill to give him a big high-five and then gives him a big, warm hug too. The kind of hug only very close friends give each other. It is so touching to see that kind of friendship and love between two 11 year olds.

I'm not going to bother rating this one...why should I? It would just wind up with my highest rating anyways. If you want to spend a special evening walking for a while in the life of two beautiful boys, then rent Son of Rambow and enjoy yourself to no end!
