Just thought I'd share about a movie I watched the other day. It's called "CJ7".

It's a Chinese movie (with subtitles) directed by, and starring, Stephen Chow (who also directed and starred in Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer). He plays a very poor laborer who is trying his best to earn enough to send his 10-year-old son to an expensive private school. But, he doesn't earn enough to afford most of the day-to-day needs, and finds most of that at the local dump. There he finds a weird green ball, which he brings home as a gift for his son. The ball turns out to be an alien. Most of the story is centered on his son and the alien (which morphs into a creature resembling a cross between a Poodle and Gumby).

Normally I wouldn't bother giving you movie reviews, but I felt this one was an exception. Not because of the movie itself -- it was just "alright". But here's the interesting thing: As I always do after watching a movie, I checked www.imdb.com for more details. The movie has a few boy characters. The main one, of course, but then there are two other significant boy characters at the school. When I checked IMDB I was stunned to find out that ALL THREE of these boys ... were played by girls! I had NO IDEA! [Add to that, one of the girl characters was played by a boy.]

Anyway, this causes me to think ... maybe this could be a new form of BL therapy:

Therapist: "I'd like you to take a look at this picture. Isn't that a good-looking boy?"
BL: "Sure is! WOW!"
Therapist: "Well, that's not a boy! It's a GIRL!"

And so the healing begins.
