I have nothing against the concept of practicing refrain and self discipline. However, I am fairly certain that Christian fellowship is not something God would want you to sacrifice for any purpose, specially with the intention of getting closer to him. Unless, this is part of a general "no internet at all" kind of thing. Even then, I would consider making an exception for Christian fellowship.
