This is all a terrible exercise in book-larnin', that's for sure, a trap of pernicious logic.

Imagine I were to somehow repent three decades of a magnificent loving relationship including the 'enhanced hugging' that brings my boyfriend such delight. I suppose it could be done. But what about the difficult times when I prayed to God to help myself and my partner with some insight when we had an argument, for example, or in other times of trouble? The fact is that most of those prayers were responded to so quickly and so definitely that I feel like I am always holding two hands, my partner's and the holy spirit's. God's love is so wonderful I cannot shout it loud enough.

Now to leave all that for solitary masturbation or to present myself as a highly defective heterosexual husband?

OK, logicians, if sex is purposed for reproduction by God and everyone is therefore heterosexual by nature, then why isn't everyone therefore also fertile? What must one repent in order to achieve a high sperm count or good ovulation? All things are possible for God, so don't even THINK about telling me this is a different matter. Well, then, what if you conceived of homosexuality as a kind of infertility, a dispositional infertility? The Koran mentions "men who have no natural powers with women" and says that they are suitable servants for married women and may even look upon their nakedness. Is Christianity going to be the only religion that is so blindly obstinate on this topic? I don't believe this blinkeredness is actually written into our sacred texts - I think it has been imposed by people who insist on seeing the usual (or normal) as a prescription rather than a description. Surprise, surprise, there are texts there supporting heterosexuality, and the primal couple were straight. It seems more than understandable without negating all other loving relationships.

By their fruits you shall know them. But some folks are just not much into fruit and believe me, this "theology" is more of a vegetable.
