I once saw Tom Reeves (mentioned in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NAMBLA) speak at a gay liberation conference in the 80s and he was a regular guy, though even then a bit on the strident/desperate side.

I think if you saw a German movie made in 1939 about Jews you might get the wrong impression. America has had zero integrity on the topic of pedophilia since the 90's began. On the other hand, it does seem that NAMBLA took all comers, and sure as heck there are going to be a few strange ones in the barrel.
