The fact that you don't normally bother with "pleasantries" (like "Hi Rainboy" ;-) meant that your post launched almost immediately into a whole message of criticism.
Yeah, I'm not really one for pleasantries on an online forum. I guess I just view forums as a good vehicle for discussion and debate, not for socializing. I'm much nicer if we ever chat in real time. It's really just the romantic "in love" aspect of it that I find troublesome. But why? That aspect of a relationship is positive and can drive you to be a better mentor. Not only that, it helps bring some excitement to your life and make you a happier and better person. There is nothing negative about it, so why is it troublesome? |
