Hi Rainboy. :)

I am enjoying your posts dude... keep em coming.

First I have to say that I kinda agree with alot of stuff you have written here and I don't have time to make notes on my points of difference.

But

I want to put something tangental into this convo.

How do we set the example for young gay guys growing up in the Christian world?

My sexuality was shaped and formed by my early environment... but by the time I was 13 it was pretty set. I liked boys exclusively and I haven't really changed any since then. But oh how I wish there had have been a gay celibate godly Christian man around to set me an example. Someone out and unashamed and living to please his Father, despite the difficulties.

And is it wrong to have romantical feelings? If we only express them in a godly manner.

If I knew a gay boy and he developed romantic affections for me and I for him... I wouldn't try and discourage that. I would try and encourage the expression of those feelings in non-sexual, godly ways. And I wouldn't disclude cuddles and such. I don't think it would be safe to sleep together ... too much temptation. and I wouldn't encourage flirting... but I think being in love is grand and nothing to be ashamed of.

Just because we are broken, does that mean we should be denied any same gender companionship... or only sexual companionship.

Blessings
Cat.
