There has always been a double standard, and always will be, no matter how people try to deny it. However, I don't think the double atsndard is unjustified. Boys and girls, men and women, males and females have always been different in many ways, especially in how they look at sex. Boys like to do things that feel good. Girls need to feel loved and are very concerned with the "romance" part of it. I've always felt that it's much more devastating to girls who are sexual with adults than boys. I'm not suggesting that it's ok to be sexual with boys. I'm just saying that with girls, they seem to feel it's more of a violation of their person, but boys seem to be more concerned with what other people will think. Unless we're talking about flat out rape, I think boys would look at being sexual with adults as little more than masturbatiuon if it not for the severe taboos put on such action by society. I'd be interested in hearing what others had to say about this.
