I read your words and I feel that you want to be in service to the Lord.
I am living a life of service to the Lord. It isn't a desire I have, it's the life I live. But there are no Bible verses to support your child lust. Neither are there bible verses that support lusting after women, yet all men do at one time or another (unless they are not heterosexual). When I do lust, it is a sin, just like when a man lusts after a woman. The fact I am attracted to children does not mean I am lusting all the time after them any more than the fact a man is attracted to women means he is lusting all the time after them. I may lust on occasion, but God forgives me when I do, just like he forgives the man who lusts after a woman. So, you are right. There are no bible verses that support lusting after children. But there are no bible verses that support lusting after women either and heterosexual men do that as much, if not more than I lust after children. So the service which you desire to give to the Lord will fall on deaf ears. But it hasn't. I have seen lives changed through my service and have no doubt that God has often responded to my deeds with "well done, good and faithful servant". That's why he trusts with me a little more every day, just like the bible promised he would. Since your heart is not pure, how can you teach others? You are assuming that my heart is less pure than a heterosexual man's heart for no other reason than because of my sexual orientation. This is a false assumption. When asked by Larry King what kind of sins he still struggles with, Billy Graham mentioned lust. Does Billy Graham have an impure heart? In those moments when he lusts, yes he does. But the rest of the time, no. It's the same with me, when I lust, I have an impure heart but when I don't I don't. I'm not lusting all the time. In fact, the vast majority of the time I am not lusting. Lust is a rare occurence. |
