This is probably what you already know, but here goes anyway: Why do you call yourself a boylover? Because that is my orientation. Just like a man calls himself gay even if he's never had sex with another male. Why do you hang out with the boylove community, risking misunderstanding from your fellow Christians, rather than seek out a nonboylove support group that welcomes minor-attracted adults? As far as I know, there is no such thing as a "nonboylove support group that welcomes minor-attracted adults," except for one that a BLer 700 miles away from me formed on his own, which is very risky to do. The BL community is the only place where we can be honest about our orientation, our feelings, our thoughts, or difficulties... It's the only place where we are understood and accepted. Most of us aren't risking misunderstanding from fellow Christians because they don't know we're BLers or that we're involved with the BL community. We would be taking a much bigger risk looking for a real life non-BL support group since few people can accept even those of us who are celibate. Mark |
