The truth is that ALL of humanity is deeply flawed, and accepting salvation through Jesus Christ is not a magic potion that instantly takes these things away. All of God's children are deeply flawed, but we are in a process of growth and change. Yes we make mistakes along the way and some of us grow and change a lot slower than others, however God never said this is some kind of contest or race (with each other). So many Christians waste so much energy and time comparing themselves to other Christians...this is the real disaster. If we put our lives in His hands and simply follow Him and trust Him to work in our lives, we will be pleasing to Him. There is nothing about us He is not aware of, nor is there anything He is not willing to work with.
