Hi Blackstone,

I found the verse (James 1:27) on the internet:

"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world"

It tells me to help other people who need my help and to avoid doing bad things (which means staying unstained), right?

We can get strong enough to avoid doing bad things by helping people, can't we? Because it makes us self confident to help someone. And self confidence gives us strength.

That are my thoughts after reading this verse but maybe I got it wrong?
